Gallaghers tray

For Christmas my Realtor, Robbyn, commissioned me to paint on a wooden tray for her mother in law in England. The tray shows their name, family home and small little portraits of the husband and wife and their four kids, and dog Ben. This was a great project. The client was happy with it and off it flew to England. Yes, England. A piece of my art is in England. That is so exciting to me!

Robbyn sent me the short video of her mother in law opening the gift on Christmas morning. The video was very short due to the fact they had to cut it, due to the fact the mother in law starting crying. That made me feel so good. I’m ELATED that this beautiful, thoughtful project made its way across the pond in good shape and meant so much to the recipient.

Did I mention a piece of my art is in England? -wink-

One of my favorite families in San Diego received this painting as a family gift. The Mother of these two Champions, burst in to tears once it was opened on Christmas. That of course prompted me to tear up as well… There’s nothing better than giving or receiving something made from the heart. It’s original and depicts her most valuable possessions. Her strong athletic children.

Christmas 2014 also prompted these two surprise gifts for two of my favorite insurance clients. One was delivered and the black and grey one will be delivered this week. I can’t wait for their response! I love giving art.

Star Wars Shoes Grinch ShoesFor Christmas I surprised both my boss KP and a family friend KD with customized shoes. The Grinch shoes were painted on TOMS and the Star Wars shoes were painted on BOBS. Both were a great hit!

This piece was commissioned by a childhood classmate. It was a surprise for his wife for Christmas. What a great husband!
